Privacy Policy
This policy explains how MZ Adnova Tech LLC (“MZ Adnova Tech”, “we”, “us”) handles information in the Food Time Control app for iPad and iPhone (the “app”), also marketed as Time Control.
The app is a business tool for buffet restaurants and kitchens: each dish gets a photo and a countdown, staff tap the dish when it goes out, and the app alerts them when the time is up and keeps a record of every timer start.
Restaurant data stays in the restaurant’s own iCloud
Everything a restaurant sets up and records in the app – sections, dish names and photos, timer durations and start times, the store name, address, phone, email and logo – is stored on the device and in the private iCloud (CloudKit) database of the Apple Account signed in on the restaurant’s devices. That is how the restaurant’s iPads stay in sync. This data is not sent to MZ Adnova Tech and we cannot access it. The timer log (dish name and start time) stays on the device that started the timer and is kept for 90 days. Apple’s handling of iCloud data is described in Apple’s own privacy policy.
Information we receive
None through the app. The app has no accounts, no sign-in, no activation codes and no subscriptions, and it never sends anything to MZ Adnova Tech. The only information we receive is what you choose to send us yourself when you contact us for support by email or phone (your name, contact details and the content of your message), which we use only to answer you.
Permissions the app asks for
- Notifications – used only to show and sound the “replacement needed” alert on the device when a dish’s time is up. Alerts are generated on the device; we do not send push messages.
- Photos – you can choose photos for dishes and for the store logo with the system photo picker. The app receives only the photos you select, and they are stored in the restaurant’s iCloud as described above.
The app does not use advertising, analytics or tracking tools, does not collect location, contacts or device identifiers, and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. Spoken alerts are generated on the device.
How we use information
We use the contact information you send us only to provide support and answer your questions. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that host our website and email (Cloudflare and Google) or when the law requires it. No payment or account data is involved, because the app has none.
Retention and your choices
We keep support correspondence only as long as needed to help you. Restaurant data in iCloud is under the restaurant’s control and can be removed by deleting it in the app or from the restaurant’s iCloud storage. To ask about, correct or delete anything you have sent us, contact us using the details below.
Children
The app is a workplace tool for restaurant staff and is not directed to children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will post the updated version on this page and revise the effective date above.
